Arduino: issue with getting a constant flow of readings

Hi,
So I am trying to just hook up the sensel-api-arduino from github, and after getting it to run, I noticed there is some issue where the serial output says there are zero contacts a couple of times, despite of there being a finger pressing on the surface. And this happens in a sequence so like 5 lines with 0 contact and 1 line with the appropriate x-coordinate, y-coordinate and force values and again 5 lines saying 0 contacts. I am not sure what I can tweak to get the arduino and the sensel board to work in sync with each other.

Would appreciate any help I can get.
