Sensel vs Korg Kaossilator

I realize they’re different animals (mainly). The Korg has self-contained samples, loop functions, and key and scale. I’m only interested however in the XY touchpad aspect of the Kaossilator.

I would like the XYZ control of the Sensel as a surface instead. First off, am I right to make such a comparison? Secondly, I would assume for the Morph key & scale would be controlled by the controller or Sensel software? Is this possible?

Lastly, if this is a doable solution, do I need an overlay for simple XYZ movements with MPE controller instruments or can I just buy the Morph before adding on?

Thanks in advance for any insights!
