Currently in MPE mode we can choose a base note and a pitch bend range.
Theoretically this would be sufficient, practically a number of synths determine the timbre of a note by just looking at the note on number (instead of looking at note number + pitch bend) - e.g. Pianoteq.
To work around this there could be an optional mode that calculates the closest note number, sends this (instead of the note number set in the area) and calculates pitch bend relative to this note until release (for that voice).
Thank you for the idea suggestion. We agree that this should be a mode option and is on our list of planned future features.
