Mousewheel Functionality

The Sensel’s just brilliant as a trackpad for times when I’m not creating. What’s the deal with the “Mouse Scroll” key in keyboard functionality? I was hoping it might turn scrolling on that area of the map into simulating scrolling with the mousewheel, but it doesn’t seem to do anything—or if it does, I can’t tell what.
