We put the Sensel Morph API in Pure Data!

Hello, friends. We’re thrilled to announce the new Sensel object for Pure Data and Purr-data, made in partnership with Virginia Tech’s Linux Laptop Orchestra (L2Ork): GitHub - sensel/PD-objects: For integrating the Sensel API as objects in PureData

As you can see in this video demonstration from @peter_sensel, It provides 20 parameters on up to 16 contacts on the Morph. This allows rapid creation and prototyping of new touch interfaces for music, sound, lighting, video, and 3D.⁣

In the video example, each contact controls the pan, filter, and pitch of a simple sawtooth waveform. The pitches are quantized to a scale. Additionally, average distance of all contacts controls the reverb mix. Contacts are also controlling the brightness and RGB mix of two DMX controlled lights. ⁣

Can’t wait to see/hear what you all do with this! If you’re posting on social, be sure to tag @senselinc and use the hashtag #PureMorph so we can help amplify.
