Just a heads up that there’s a Control Surface script for Ableton Live. This automatically maps the Music Overlays to many functions in Ableton Live. So in addition to being able to play instruments, you can control many aspects of Live itself, using the the top buttons on the overlays.

Are you working on a map for the Buchla Thunder overlay?

Yes. You can use the SenselApp to map a button to ctrl-z:

Hello,
Congrats for this great script and maps.
I was testing Music Production overlay today with latest Ableton Beta [Live 10.1.9b5] and some Shift functions seems not working anymore:

  • Clip Launch (Shift + Drum pads)
  • Stop Clips (Shift + Stop)
  • Drum bank up/down (Shift + small keys combo left)
  • Octave up/down (Shift + small keys combo right)
    Would it be Map or script related or something stupid on my side? :slight_smile:

Thanks for the heads up. Looking into this - solution in a day or two I suspect!

For now, you will need to remap the Overlays so all the pads/keys send on CH1. Use CMD (CTL for windows)-click to select multiple pads on an overlay in the SenselApp, then just change to Channel 1.
Looking into a better fix for this, though, as we’d like to be able to dedicate notes to different tracks.
