Having a ribbon controller at the top of the keyboard template would be a nice performance tool

Great idea. 
There is plenty of room to add the ribbon horizontally.
Apparently my last suggestion did not catch go over big.
So let me try another Feature Request.
Put definable horizontal lines on the Morph piano overlay so that midi velocity is determined by where the key is struck. The actual velocity sensor can then determine the timber. Allow other parameters to be selected.
