Morph not turning on

I’ve had my Morph for quite a while, but a recent firmware update froze up, and now it won’t turn on. I’ve tried holding the power button for a long period and no lights come on. When I plug it into my computer the Sensel app doesn’t register that it’s there. Is there a way I can reset it?

Hi @arkadyan - sorry to hear you’re having this issue.

Could you please try plugging it into a wall charger for several hours? We’ve seen this kick things back into gear.

If the issue persists please email support@sensel.com

Thanks!
Matt

I read in another thread that plugging it into a wall charger is not recommended and that you prefer it to be charged from a computer USB port. The answer in this thread contradicts this. What gives, guys? Which one is it? I don’t want to end up damaging my Morph!

I think Alex in the other thread was being cautious. He’s right that wall chargers can be more unreliable than a usb port. USB ports tend to charge at a lower amperage, too - a max of 500mA. However, I have plugged into a charger many times, and it has been fine. So, if you want to be extra cautious, just use a usb port.

Hi! I’m just having the same issue on my 2 Morphs: after the last firmware update I uploaded a different overlay and both became “bricks”, no reaction to anything, Windows plays the USB sound, but “does not recognize device”. As recommended in this string, I put them on a wall charger, but to no avail. Does anybody have a hint? Thanks!

This is basically the same situation I am in, but I was not sure if it was related to moving to usb-c and/or trying to the firmware update.
